Münich (Germany), Jan. 29 : Researchers at the Munich, Germany-based Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität (LMU) have claimed to solved a 5,000-year-old murder case relating to the famed "Glacier Man".
New investigations conducted by the LMU research team and a Bolzano colleague have suggested that he was stabbed twice, rather than once, before he died.
Munich - Doctors who studied the Iceman, a mummified Stone Age hunter found in Italy in 1991, announced conclusive proof Wednesday that he was shot to death with a flint-tipped arrow rather than dying of exposure as once thought.
"He only lived for a short time after the arrow impact," said Andreas Nerlich, who headed a joint study by Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich and experts from Bolzano, Italy.

Munich - It's hard to be 100 per cent consistent. Computer operating systems are no different. The Mac OS tends to be very easy to use, particularly for users who don't need to make major changes to their system. Yet, some programme types just aren't often made for the Mac. One way to circumvent this is virtualisation.
"Virtualisation involves one computer with additional virtual computers running on it, each independent of one another," explains Sven Ahnert, an IT expert and technical book author. The interesting aspect is that no additional hardware is required. With the right software, one standard Mac OS X machine can also run Windows XP.
There's a bit of a dearth of tax and finance programs like Quicken for the Mac OS, for example.
