Islamabad, Mar. 23: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has said that the decision of shifting the Indian Premier League (IPL) from India has proved its stance that it’s not only in Pakistan where terrorism can play havoc and target the sport.

“We have been saying that security is a problem around the world and a terrorist attempt could be made in any country. The decision of shifting the IPL out of India on security grounds verifies our version,” a PCB official said.

Melbourne, Mar 23: Trouble seems to be never ending for Australian all rounder Andrew Symonds undergoing rehab, who was reportedly asked to leave a Brisbane bar because he was too drunk.

Cricket Australia officials have already given Symonds a “last chance” warning over previous alcohol-related misdemeanours.

An intoxicated Symonds was reportedly spotted being punted by security at the Watt Bar at the Powerhouse in New Farm, Brisbane, despite Queensland Cricket this morning saying his rehabilitation was on track.

Madrid  - Barcelona midfielders Xavi, Andres Iniesta and Yaya Toure will all probably be out of action for around two weeks, according to the digital versions of Sport and Mundo Deportivo on Sunday night.

All three picked up minor injuries in Barca's 6-0 thrashing of Malaga on Sunday, and will probably miss the upcoming international matches. They will all undergo further tests on Monday.

Mumbai, Mar 22 (ANI): The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will hold an emergency meeting to take a final call on the second edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) here today.

The Twenty-20 league has been under a cloud of uncertainty because of security apprehensions.

The meeting has been called after many top state officials expressed reservations on providing security to the high profile championship, as many matches being held at different venues clash with Lok Sabha polls.
