Washington, Feb. 6 The political turmoil in Pakistan has not seriously threatened the military’s control of its nuclear weapons “but vulnerabilities exist,” United States intelligence has warned in a report delivered to Congress by its chief Mike McConnell.
“We judge that the [Pakistan] army’s management of nuclear policy issues — to include physical security — has not been degraded by Pakistan’s political crisis,” the Daily Times quotes the report, as saying.
