Munich - Site operators can design their own search hits on Yahoo Web page operators can design descriptions of their websites to be shown to users of the Yahoo search engine. To do so, Yahoo has released a developer solution called SearchMonkey. It allows for items like images, links and short information like price quotes or reviews to be shown directly in the search results.

This gives users a first impression of the website before even clicking on it for the first time. Information about the developer tool is available at http://developer.yahoo.com/searchmonkey. Users must register at Yahoo to use it. (dpa)
