Sharjah Deputy Ruler attends opening session of Youth Shura
Sharjah, Nov. 27th, 2008 --Sharjah Deputy Ruler HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem Al Qasimi, opened today the first session of the third chapter of the Youth Shura Council, held here at Emiri Court.
The Shura, which includes males and females, is held by the General Department of Juniors Centres of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.
Sheikh Abdullah lauded the role of HH Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council member and ruler of Sharjah, for supporting and encouraging shura members to deliberate in the democratic atmosphere and express their ideas and views about future freely. Such a sponsorship would pave way for them to build their community and country.
Present at the event were Sheikh Essam bin Saqr bin Humaid Al Qasimi, head of Ruler's office, Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, head of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Awqaf and other senior officials. (WAM/MN)
