‘I'm not adopting four blonde babies,’ says Paris Hilton

Washington, Sep 16: Socialite Paris Hilton has denied reports that she is to adopt four blonde babies.

In a recent interview, the hotel heiress revealed that at the moment, kids were not on her priority list.

"Someone just said that I'm adopting four blonde babies. That's retarded. No, I'm not,” People quoted her, as saying.

When asked if she’d like to adopt, Paris said, “Maybe, but I want to have my own children.”

Electrons conduct electricity like bouncing balls in Graphene ‘billiards table’

Washington, Sept 16: Physicists at the University of California, Riverside have found that electrons conduct electricity in Graphene the same way balls bounce back from the walls of a billiards table.

Graphene is a two-dimensional honeycomb lattice of carbon atoms, and, structurally, is related to carbon nanotubes (tiny hollow tubes formed by rolling up sheets of graphene) and buckyballs (hollow carbon molecules that form a closed cage).

Financial incentives could promote employee weight loss

Washington, Sept 16: Researchers at RTI International and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill have found that moderate financial incentives could promote employee weight loss.

In the study, more than 200 participants were recruited from the employees at one university and three community colleges in North Carolina.

Participants were arbitrarily assigned to be given no money, 7 dollar per percentage point of weight lost or 14 dollar per percentage point of weight lost, during the first three months.

Cell phone users suffering from ‘ringxiety’

Washington, Sept 16: A new survey has found that about two thirds of the people suffer from the phenomenon of "ringxiety” – hearing the mobile phone ring or feeling it vibrate when it is not actually ringing.

The study, conducted by David Laramie of the Wright Institute in Los Angeles, found that the more frequent a person used phone, the more often, he or she reported hearing a phantom ring.

Kylie Minogue ready with new album

Washington, Sept 14: Australian singer Kylie Minogue has confirmed the release of her first new single ‘2 Hearts’ since being diagnosed with breast cancer.

The Aussie singer’s latest single is scheduled to release on the Parlophone record label on November 12th.

2 Hearts will be Minogue’s first album in more than two years and follows her breast cancer surgery.

The 39-year-old songstress revealed that she had been working on the record for one and half year and was struggling to cut down a wealth of songs she had put together for it.

Courtney Love turns to fans for inspiration

Washington, Sept 14:  Rocker Courtney Love is now counting on her fans to provide inspiration for the lyrics of a new track after suffering a bout of writer's block.

The rocker is looking to her fan following as she is finding it difficult penning a new song.

Love posted a message on her MySpace blog inviting her fans to help her write some fresh material for a new album.
