Kiwi PM prepared to stop Black Caps tour of Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe, New ZealandWellington (New Zealand), Feb. 23 : New Zealand Prime Minister John Key has said that he is ready to halt the Black Caps tour of Zimbabwe.

The New Zealand cricket team are scheduled to play three one one-day internationals in the strife-torn African nation in July under the International Cricket Council''s (ICC) future tours programme.

The only way New Zealand Cricket (NZC) can avoid ICC sanctions is if Key orders the team not to tour.

Harris one of New Zealand''s greatest one-day cricketers and skipper of both the World XI and Hyderabad Heroes says he''s not concerned.

"There have been changes to it in the past and generally dates have changed a number of times," Harris told Sunday News.

"All the tournaments have gone ahead as planned," he added.

Lee, 18, claimed victory by one stroke in an event co-sanctioned by the European, Asian and Australasian tours.

Lee is the reigning United States amateur champion, and with his win in Perth became the youngest player to win on the European tour and only the second amateur to do so.
