Los Angeles - The saucy TV spin-off Sex And The City is returning to cinemas, Variety reported Friday, with a sequel to hit the screens on May 2, 2010.

The original Sex And The City movie, which chronicled the love lives of four New Yorkers, was a huge hit among women who flocked to see it at cinemas and helped it earn more than 410 million dollars at the global box office.

Los Angeles - George Harrison, the former Beatle who died of cancer in 2001, is to get a star on Hollywood's walk of fame later this month, it was announced Friday.

The former lead guitarist for the legendary band will get his posthumous star on April 14, with wife Olivia and son Dhani accepting the honour in his name. The event is timed to coincide with the launch by Capitol Records of a previously unreleased Harrison music project and a forthcoming documentary on the guitarist by Martin Scorsese.

Los Angeles - The half-sister of US President Barack Obama is to pen a children's book based on stories told by their late mother, according to an announcement Friday by children's book publisher Candlewick Press.

The book by Maya Soetoro-Ng will be called Ladder to the Moon and will pay "homage to her mother's tradition of storytelling," and her commitment to service, the publisher said.

The book is also inspired by her four-year-old daughter.

Los Angeles  - The lowly Washington Wizards haven't had many highs this season, but they seem to rise to the occasion against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Caron Butler scored 25 points, Antawn Jamison had 19 and the Wizards regrouped after blowing a 14-point lead to snap the Cavaliers' franchise-best 13-game winning streak, with a 109-101 home-court victory on Thursday night.

Pierce hit Ray Allen for the game-winning three-pointer with 2.1 seconds left in the second overtime, lifting the Celtics to a dramatic 111-109 home-court victory over the pesky Charlotte Bobcats on Wednesday night.

"When you have one of the greatest shooters to ever play the game it's a no-brainer," said Pierce, who finished with a game-high 32 points. "I'll proclaim Ray the greatest shooter that I've ever seen in the history of the NBA. You have to talk about guys that have done it crucial situations and Ray has done it."
