Crouch double gives Portsmouth victory over Everton London - Peter Crouch headed both goals as Portsmouth came from behind to beat Everton 2-1 in the Premier League on Saturday.

Leighton Baines gave Everton the lead in the fourth minute with a free-kick before Crouch levelled midway through the half and headed the winner from a corner with 15 minutes remaining.

The victory moves Portsmouth three points clear of the relegation zone and dents sixth-placed Everton's hopes of mounting a challenge for a Champions League place.

Leaders Manchester United were at Fulham, while second-placed Chelsea visited Tottenham Hotspur among later games Saturday. (dpa)
