Irish economy continues to recover backed by exportsAccording to the latest figures released, Ireland is displaying signs of strong recovery backed by growth in exports form the country.

The GDP of the country increased 3.4 per cent during 2012 but recorded a fall of 0.4 [per cent during the fourth quarter of the year.  The growth was boosted by strong exports while the imports largely remained unchanged from the previous year.  The overall net exports form the country increased _4.4billion over the previous year.

Even in the domestic economy, the total personal consumption grew 0.2 per cent during 2012 and recorded an increase 1 per cent during the previous quarter.  Ireland has emerged as the only nation in the Eurozone that has received a bailout aid package from the group that is recording growth and also has a current account surplus indicating that the country might be able to revive its economy soon in the coming years.

Christine Lagarde, the director of the International Monetary Fund had recently accessed the position of Ireland as the bailout package is to be concluded.  European Central Bank governor, Mario Draghi urged the Irish government to speed up banking reports and expressed concerns over the fact that about 23,500 mortgages were not paid in the country for a period of two years.
