German foreign minister wants clarification of Syria attack
Abu Dhabi - German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier on Wednesday expressed his concern about the US commando raid inside Syria and said the incident should be clarified.
While on a visit to the United Arab Emirates, Steinmeier said his concern was especially so in view of reports that there were many deaths.
The Berlin minister said he assumed that all the parties would be seeking talks to clarify the incident.
"Nobody can have any interest in seeing that, from this (incident) new instability arises in Iraq and the region," Steinmeier said. (dpa)
