London, March 17: Ace footballer Cristiano Ronaldo was apparently left angered after a vagrant gobbed on his 150,000-pound Bentley car.

According to reports, the Big Issue seller was pleading Ronaldo to buy a copy of the 1.50-pound magazine.

However, when the 100,000-pound-a-week ace ignored his pleas, he lost his cool.

The vendor brushed past Ronaldo, and hopped in the motor.

He even swore at the Man United star, and challenged the latter to get out and fight.

Sydney  - Sweden's Therese Alshammar broke her own world record Tuesday in the 50-metre butterfly at the Australian swimming championships in Sydney.

Alshammar, 31, clocked 25.44 seconds - 0.02 seconds faster than the world record she set in Barcelona in 2007.

"I'm a bit shocked myself, and I'm very happy," Alshammar said. "I've had a great couple of months in Australia."

She has been in Sydney training with local rival Libby Trickett for the past two months.

New Delhi, Mar 16 : The Indian Premier League is likely to submit a revised schedule on Tuesday after Home Ministry advised IPL organisers that it may not be possible to hold the Twenty20 series as per its previous revised schedule.

A meeting between the Home Ministry and the BCCI officials on Monday ended without resolution with the Ministry making it clear that it was not in a position to spare para-military forces because of the Lok Sabha elections.

Nyon, Switzerland - European football boss Michel Platini said that the utmost will be done not to make Liverpool play a Champions League match on the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborough tragedy.

Platini said in a UEFA statement issued on Monday that he sympathises with Liverpool and that UEFA will take the April 15, 1989, tragedy into account when the dates for the quarter-final pairings are decided.

Munich - Bayern Munich and Germany striker Miroslav Klose will be sidelined for up to two months over an ankle injury, Munich's general manager Uli Hoeness told the Sueddeutsche Zeitung daily on Monday.

The paper, on its website, quoted Hoeness as saying that Klose was due to undergo surgery later Monday "and will then miss six to eight weeks."

Klose will not only miss upcoming Bundesliga matches but also Munich's European Champions League quarter-finals and two World Cup qualifiers for Germany.
