Computer virus hits Norwegian police computers

Computer virus hits Norwegian police computers Oslo - Norwegian police computers were affected Thursday by a computer virus that slowed down operations in the police network.

Police computer technicians issued a statement saying they had identified the virus and had shut down some programmes while anti- virus programmes were running.

The virus was not identified.

In recent weeks other public agencies have reported similar virus- related problems. (dpa)
