Biden played key-role in getting Musharraf out of uniform: Gilani
Karachi, Jan. 12 : Pakistan Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Monday claimed that incoming US Vice-President Joe Biden played a key role in convincing former President Pervez Musharraf to take off his army uniform.
"This was not done by us or any other party," The News quoted him, as saying.
He further said, "Pakistan is a sovereign country and permission for US drone attacks could not be given and we are seeking support of other countries also against these attacks, as the miscreants slip nearer."
The prime minister also revealed that not only Pakistan, but the whole world was in the grip of recession.
"We have got a mandate for five years and the problems cannot be solved in eight months," he said.
Regarding lawyers' movement, he said that the lawyers and N-League's movement for the restoration of deposed judges was their own affair.
He claimed that his Pakistan People's party had offered sacrifices the most for the restoration of judiciary. (ANI)
