Australia squeaks past Oman in Asia Cup qualifier Sydney - Australia is still in with a chance of qualifying for the Asian Cup finals in Qatar after a late Tim Cahill goal delivered a 1-0 victory over Oman in Melbourne on Wednesday.

The Australians had just one point from their opening two qualifiers heading into the match. They came out equal top with Qatar with 4 points and three matches still to play. (dpa)
